The
Loon 160T (16' 0" tandem) combines paddling performance along with
excellent stability.
The hull design incorporates design features that let you
enjoy improved paddling ease and tracking ability, beyond that of other
two seat entry level kayaks.
The extra size of the Loon 160T allows the family to get out on the water
in a stable yet efficient design. Adding to the comfort is the large non-confining
cockpit and specially designed folding high seat back. Designed for tandem
paddling it can easily switch to a solo simply by sliding the bow seat.
This versatile craft, with its huge cockpit, can also carry extra gear,
a small third passenger or pet.
The Loon 160T features Old Town's patented roto-molding process to produce a superior three layered linear polyethylene hull. This allows for a stiffer bottom and deck while reducing weight and omitting the need for a keelson. In addition, the foam core provides built in flotation, while also acting as insulation against cold and noise.
